Unexpected Kindness
Think about something you could do TODAY to lift another person’s spirit. My speaking schedule has been terrific but very hectic and as my husband picked me up from the airport last evening, he reminded me that he had made dinner reservations at a lovely little Italian restaurant for us. To me, that is unexpected kindness. So, we buzzed home and dumped my luggage.
Running in to my office and hooking up my computer to recharge the battery, I noticed a pile of mail. To my surprise, Al had hidden a little box of yellow marshmallow Peeps – my favorite – under the wad of paper. Now to me – that is unexpected kindness.
Think about the personal responsibility you consistently take to fulfill your own happiness and how you extend that to others. Difficult people, bad behavior and problems can often find a new path through your unexpected kindness.
